When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data that appears on the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user string to help detect spam.

An anonymous string generated from your email address (called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Site visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don't have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that we can recognize and approve any incoming comments automatically rather than holding them in a queue for moderation.
